Jessica Lynch Rector
Jessica knew at an early age she would someday like to become a hairdresser. She began cutting her sister’s and her doll’s hair at 4 years old. The passion was naturally within her. She had the opportunity to begin cosmetology school during her junior year of high school. This allowed her to graduate high school and cosmetology school the same year…1990. She enjoys relating to her clients and helping envision their personal style. She moved to Oxford from Arkansas in 2013 and joined the LaRousse team in the fall.
Outside of work she is a certified yoga teacher, which is a second passion. She loves learning about wellness, meditation, healthy living and eating, and applying what she has learned to help others. She enjoys working in her yard and seeing how many perennials and herbs she can grow successfully.
Cat vividly remembers asking her mother how to spell “cosmetology” in the second grade so that she could answer a homework question on what she wanted to be when she grew up. She always knew the beauty industry was the right fit for her. She loves making her clients feel beautiful and be their best self. While being with her husband on the boat and going to concerts together are her most favorite times, chilling with her dog Stella runs a close second. After her sister passed from Lupus, Cat is interested in helping find a cure for this autoimmune illness and its causes.
The superstar of the salon, Dallas is the epitome of true southern glam. She is full of positive vibes and is obsessed with her cat, Ophelia. She started at La Rousse in 2012 and has made her way to a Stylist III. She got “Most likely to be remembered” in high school and she is definitely headed in that direction here a La Rousse.
Ciara came to us from Maine in the fall of 2017. It was a BIG move coming to the South but she fits right in to La Rousse, making it home. She is driven, passionate and thorough and her clients know she is 100% invested in them. You can catch her singing on Sundays and supporting Light for Life, a non-profit supporting a children’s home in Bangladesh.
Courtney started with La Rousse as an Assistant right out of cosmetology school in May 2015. Since then she has grown into a Stylist II position. She is great with blondes, dependable and always has a smile on her face. Her pride and joy is her son Liam and loves spending quality time with him and her fiancé, Brian.
Marley is one of four girls in her family and has been making her sisters beautiful since before she can remember. She has stepped up to the large task of being a Stylist and is all about taking care of her clients. She is thankful she found her true passion early in life and enjoys spending her days in beauty. She continues to try to learn new things to keep her passion alive. If she’s not at the salon she’s reading or enjoying a good glass of wine with her friends.
A South Carolina native with five sisters, Heather always knew the beauty industry was her calling. She loved to style her sisters’ hair and being the middle child there was never a shortage of sisterly love. She saw a change in people when they felt good about themselves and she wanted to make that her life mission. She strives to do that to each of her clients every day at La Rousse. She thinks (knows) it’s the best part of her job.
Heather enjoys traveling to see her family and relaxing at the beach. She now resides in Pontotoc on a farm with her husband, three beautiful children and lots of horses. On Sundays after church you will find her rounding up the horses and spending time with her family.
The most exciting thing about being a stylist to Ginger is having clients sit in her chair and leave feeling good about themselves. She strives to continue her education at every opportunity and when she is not working she is dreaming of the beach, cooking and spending time with her kids (which is what she loves most). She continues to touch lives every day and she looks forward to each person that sits in her chair.
Sierra is a true optimist, is full of life and positive energy. When she isn’t styling your hair or learning the beauty industry she is enjoying yoga and meditating. Halon has been doing nails for the past 27 years. She actually owned the nail spa that the Spa at La Rousse is in. After convincing her to sell her nail business to us in 2016 she has been a great asset to our team. She is a great team player and a great leader. If she’s not at the spa know she is laughing life up and enjoying every minute of what God has given her.
